Founded in 1929,  the JSO conducts a program of six subscription concerts from October to May plus four special events, including an annual Symphony Gala.  The symphony is led by Grammy®-Winning conductor, James Blachly

Spanning nearly 50 miles across Indiana and Cambria Counties, the Ghost Town earned distinction as Pennsylvania Trail of the Year in 2020. The rail trail is a destination for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy cycling, running, or a casual stroll and an abundance of wildlife, scenic views, and rolling rivers.  

Located in the historic Cultural District of Johnstown, the Bottle Works is Johnstown’s art mecca where artists can exhibit, create, teach, and sell; musicians can perform; and visitors can explore, learn, and purchase all of the wonders of the arts

A summer tradition for more than seven decades, the AAABA Tournament is played each August at Sargent's Stadium at the Point. More than 400 alumni of the AAABA Tournament have gone on to play in Major League Baseball.

Johnstown has always celebrated its passion for hockey, even serving as inspiration for the popular hockey movie “Slap Shot" and earning the title of first-ever Kraft Hockyville, USA.  Community members and visitors can cheer on the local Tomahawks, a Tier II Junior Hockey team in the North American Hockey League's East Division.  

A history museum dedicated to the Johnstown Flood of 1889. The museum is housed in the former Cambria Public Library, which is part of the Downtown Johnstown Historic District.

Take a ride on the World's Steepest Vehicular Inclined Plane or simply take in the view while enjoying dinner with family and friends at the restaurant overlooking the historic and picturesque downtown Johnstown. 

An all-season mountain resort nestled in the Laurel Highlands that offers year-round activities including biking, canopy touring, ziplining, sporting clays, fishing, hiking, and golfing in the summer and skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing in the winter.  

Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts and spectators 'rev up' the streets of downtown Johnstown and the surrounding area the fourth weekend of every June while enjoying local food, scenic rides, music, merriment, and more at the annual Thunder in the Valley Motorcycle.  

A common field one day.  A field of horror forever. The Flight 93 National Memorial commemorates the crash of United Airlines Flight 93, which was one of four aircraft hijacked in the September 11 attacks.

An annual celebration of American music featuring a wide array of musical genres performed by musicians from across the United States.  The two-day music festival takes place at People's Natural Gas Park located near the Cambria Iron National Historic Landmark at the junction of the ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app and Stoneycreek Rivers.

The first and largest ºìÐÓÖ±²¥appal campus of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown is one of several institutions of higher education in the Laurel Highlands.  Others colleges and universities in close proximity to Johnstown include St. Francis University, Mt.
